Edithburgh Dive Tours

Our underwater professional photographer Paul Macdonald has logged over 270 dives (350 hours) at Edithburgh and is very familiar with diving the jetty and the amazing macro marine creatures found here. This is arguably one of the best shore dives in Australia.

Paul is adept at finding the various species of anglerfishes (including the elusive rodless anglerfish) that hide and camouflage themselves under or around the jetty. At Edithburgh you can also expect to see pyjama squid, blue ringed octopus, short headed sea horses, various pipefishes and the South Australian marine emblem, the leafy sea dragon. And if you are an underwater photographer, Paul will be on hand for help and advice if required so you can capture the best possible images of these critters.

To participate you must hold, as a minimum, an open water qualification with a recognised scuba diver training agency, be 15 years or older and provide your own scuba diving equipment including a minimum of 2 tanks. Air fills are available at Edithburgh Motors. And equipment can be hired from dive shops in Adelaide.

Accommodation is available at our diver’s lodge for $75, 1 night or $60 per night for 2 or more nights.

Transport from Adelaide is available if required at $100 each way.

Pricing for guided dives is as follows:
